This Speysider was distilled in 2009 and is the fourth batch of 2009 vintage Cask Strength single malt from Benromach, matured exclusively in a combination of first-fill casks and bourbon casks. The nose has a sherry influence alongside creamy vanilla, cooked apple and a hint of candle wax. The palate is set honey, waxy peels and stewed orchard fruit, with a fine suggestion of peat smoke throughout. The finish is a Chocolate-coated raisin lingers alongside a smouldering bonfire.
