Distilled by Speyside distillery Linkwood, this release has been bottled by Elgin based independent bottlers Gordon and MacPhail as part of their connoisseurs choice collection. This whisky was distilled in 1990 before being placed into a single first fill sherry butt to mature for 30 years. Sweet aromas of treacle toffee and black cherries are joined by beeswax polish on the nose, complemented by notes of walnuts, orange, cinnamon and clove throughout the palate. One of 348 bottles, this whisky has been bottled free from chill filtration and artificial colourings at a natural cask strength of 48.6% abv.
