Sazerac Rye 6 years
Sazerac is a terrific spicy rye from Buffalo Trace, it derives from the Sazerac Coffee House in New Orleans, birthplace of the famous Sazerac cocktail. This 6 year old rye, has a balanced nose with allspice, leather, ginger and pepper. The bold flavours are accentuated with sun ripened orange zest and woody notes of oak leaving a wonderful contrast on the palate. The Finish is smooth and lingering.
Sazerac 18 Year Old Straight Rye 2015
The Sazerac 18 Year Old Kentucky straight rye whiskey from the 2015 Buffalo Trace Antique Collection comes from the same award winning liquid that has been stored n steel tanks at the Buffalo Trace Distillery. Buffalo Trace vatted a large number of casks a few years back in order to halt the aging process. Multi award winning Whisky. Lush toffee sweetness and dark chocolate with hints of vanilla. fudge. nougat and molasses. Underlying notes of dates. tobacco. dark berries. spearmint and a hint of coffee round out the palate.

The award winning Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye whiskey from the annual Buffalo Trace Antique Collection is a definite crowd-pleaser. This comes bottled at a particularly sturdy strength – for the 2014 release, it sits at 64.6% ABV. It has tastes of nutmeg, allspice and clove with apricot, and chocolate with a long and lingering finish.
