The Old Pulteney distillery in Wick is one of the most northerly distilleries on the Scottish mainland. The extreme location and unique stills have resulted in a distinctive flavour, bursting with the power and subtlety of the sea.
Aged for 30 years, this Old Pulteney features single malt whisky matured in ex-bourbon (American oak) wood. It is neither coloured nor chill-filtered, but is intensely complex and bottled at natural strength. It comes in a beautifully crafted walnut veneered presentation box.

Made from the most northerly mainland distillery in Scotland, this Old Pulteney 21 is an exceptional well matured whisky having been aged in a mix of fino sherry and refill bourbon cask. It has benefitted from the sea air which matured the whisky giving a slight salty tone. Very good indeed and this was rated best whisky in Jim Murrays 2012 whisky Bible.
