Released at the start of 2016 for the Travel Retail market, The Tayne from Glenmorangie has been finished in selected Amontillado Sherry casks!
Glenmorangie Spios is the ninth limited edition bottling in the distillery’s Private Edition series; being the first single malt ever to be entirely matured in American rye whiskey casks.The name derives from the Gaelic Scottish word for ‘spice’. This product is known for its distinctive, spicy characteristics with a herbal nose and a rich, spicy palate, followed by a long, sweet finish.
A fantastic no-age-statement Sherry Wood Finish Glenmorangie single malt that was bottled in the late 20th century. Bottled and imported for the Italian market by Martini & Rossi of Turin, this old style release is a dying breed.

This rare and discontinued bottling of the Glenmorangie Port Wood Finish was produced by the original 16 men of Tain. A truly artisanal product. where the whisky has been aged for a full 14 years instead of the usual 12 years. Dispaced by the Quinta Ruban. this is a special whisky. which possess dark cherries. prunes and date flavour tones. with slight earthiness coming from the port cask. Very good indeed.
A special bottling of Glenmorangie to commemorate the Millennium. This whisky is only made up of whiskies which are from first fill casks, resulting in a fuller bodied whisky in comparison to the regular 12 year old. Highly regarded and increasingly harder to find.
An incredibly rare expression of the Glenmorangie madeira wood cask finish. A stonkingly good whisky, finished in large Madeira drums, which result in a fruity, creamy whisky with a slight orange hue to it. Very tasty indeed! This is a disconotinued product.
The limited-edition return of Glenmorangie Astar, originally released in 2008, matured in bespoke casks made from oak from the Ozark mountains of Missouri. It was discontinued in 2012, however, re-released in 2017! Bottled at a healthy 52.5 ABV.
Expect Honeycomb, touches of nutmeg, hazelnut cream with salted fudge with some vanilla ice cream.

The Glenmorangie Astar bottling is the second incarnation of the much loved Artisan cask bottling from several years ago and bottled at a huge 57.1% abv. The name Astar means journey in Gaelic, and to create this whisky the materials had to travel 5000 miles to the Glenmorangie distillery. The colour of the whisky is a bright gold with a nose of rich toffee and creme-brulee with warm autumnal spices.
On the palate theres plenty of richness reminscent of creamy cream brulee with hints of roasted caramilised pineapple. The finish is smooth and long with a lingering flavour of honey and almonds with a mention summer fruits. A truly Mouth watering whisky, which will keep giving you more!
