Glenfiddich 125TH Anniversary
In honour of 125 years of whisky production, Glenfiddich released this limited edition single malt Scotch whisky in 2012
For this expression, the chaps at Glenfiddich have used a combination of peated and unpeated whiskies aged in a large proportion of Spanish ex-Sherry butts, as well as American ex-bourbon casks. It was presented alongside a copper stopper, a leaflet giving some background on the release and a handsome presentation case. What better way to celebrate 125 years of Glenfiddich whisky than with more of it?
Glenfiddich Special Reserve 12 (old bottling)
One of the world’s best-selling malts, creamy with a long, smooth and mellow finish, our 12-year-old is the perfect example of Glenfiddich’s unique Speyside style. This one of a kind bottle has been matured in the finest American oak and European oak sherry casks for at least 12 years, it is softened in oak to create its sweet and subtle flavour.
**** Please note there minor dents to the tin****
Glenfiddich Experimental Series – Project XX
The second release in Glenfiddich’s Experimental Series is their Project XX expression. This whisky was curated by 20 of Glenfiddich’s ambassadors, where they were invited to pick any expression from the thousands of casks maturing in the warehouse. from soft and fruity ex-bourbon to rich port pipes and sherry butts. The 20 chosen whiskies were then carefully married by Malt Master Brian Kinsman, who created this gem of a whisky, which is refined, balanced with lots of depth.
Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix
Bottled without an age statement, Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix has been highly acclaimed and includes Oloroso and American oak casks from warehouses ranging from 13 to 30 years old. A limited edition release with a creamy, vibrant, well-honeyed and sherry-scented, leading towards a long, lush finish.
Sourced from warehouses whose roofs had collapsed on 7th January 2010 under the hundreds of tonnes of snow that had fallen in Speyside that winter. A great whisky with a genuine backstory and a terrific packaging job – we reckon this will become a cult malt.
