A 15 year old Islay whisky matured in first-fill Oloroso Sherry casks, bottled for the Port Askaig range! This release of Port Askaig ( Unknown Distillery) is a blend of peated whisky from 1997 (20%) and a fruitier spirit from 2001 (80%).
The result is an excellent balance between sweetness and stony smoke, and hints of violets and lemon sherbet. A cracking dram in our opinion and highly recommended.
