Distilled at Ichiro Akuto’s Chichibu distillery, one of Japan’s newer distilleries, this particular release has been exclusively bottled for The Whisky Exchange, marking the inaugural edition in the Taboo Series. Drawing inspiration from the Japanese proverb ‘see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil,’ this expression, distilled in 2012, underwent a decade of maturation in a single refill bourbon barrel. Limited to just 175 bottles, this whisky has been bottled at a robust 58.5% abv.
