Description
Acquired during the early years of Springbank’s private cask programme, this bottle offers an alternative yet equally captivating perspective on the distillery’s craftsmanship. While its sherry-matured counterpart displays stronger wood influence, this cask has allowed the spirit’s natural character to develop gracefully over more than three decades.
The whisky shows an elegant iced-tea hue, with aromas of peach, oak, tropical fruit, and a gentle, incense-like smoke. On the palate, layers of fruit syrup and mango unfold, complemented by coastal salinity and understated barrel spice. With the wood playing a more restrained role, the whisky retains Springbank’s hallmark coastal profile while nurturing complex fruit notes and subtle industrial nuances. It stands as a superb example of mature Springbank, revealing the distillery’s most refined qualities through time and patience
