Situated about an hour’s train ride west of Tokyo near the small town of Chichibu, the Chichibu Distillery, inaugurated in 2008, marked the first establishment of a new Japanese distillery since 1973. The Chichibu London Edition Bottled in 2022 is a blended Japanese whisky comprising nine casks, which include Cognac, oloroso, and chibidaru casks. With prominent notes of pear, coconut, guava, mango, and vanilla, this expression boasts a robust alcohol content of 51.5% ABV.
