A super-premium entry in Glenlivet’s range, a 25 year old finished in Oloroso sherry casks.for a couple of years
The Oloroso Sherry influence meshes beautifully with The Glenlivet’s signature sweet, floral, honey and malt notes, giving a nutty spiciness and quite intensely fruity palate, with raisins to the fore. The finish embraces steadily drying oak. A rich, complex and satisfying after dinner dram.” Gavin D. Smith, Whisky-Pages.com.

Intoducing Glenllivets Nadurra Oloroso, this is bottled and released in small batches, bottled at cask strength unlike most whiskies and is non-chill filtered so has all the body you would expect from a whisky that has been drawn straight from the cask. It’s a bright, vibrant gold liquid, with aromas of dried fruit and spice. The tasting is smooth and creamy with chocolate, marmalade and Dundee cake flavours coming through.

The follow up from 2013 Glenlivets Alphawith, the Glenlivet Cipher has been released in the same way. The bottle is black, no cask information has been released and no public tasting notes have been published. Customers are invited to taste the whisky and decipher the tasting notes. It seems we are being treated to new mystery.

This Glenlivet 15 is a cut above the 12 Years, which displays notes of a charming resinous wood with a well balance of acidity specifically know to aging in Limousin Oak cask more typical of cognac. The palate is rich and full with notes of winter spices and finishes with a dry undertone. A very different alternative to whisky maturation, nevertheless still very good and winner of the liquid gold award by Jim Murray 2014!

A 1998 vintage Braeval (otherwise known as Braes of Glenlivet) released under Gordon & Macphail’s Connoisseurs Choice label. Hence this is somewhat of a rarity!
