Description

A wonderful 25 year old whisky from the now mothballed distillery Caperdonich, bottled by the SMWS. Distilled on the 17th June 1992, this speyside whisky was matured in ex refill bourbon barrels with a small outturn of 270 bottles.

Bottled at cask strength at 51%, this is whisky definitely one not to be missed.

” the nose is subtle and attractive – evoking a moment writing love letters on linen writing paper while the summer evening envelops the garden wafting night-scented stock, orange blossom and jasmine through the casement – milk chews, white chocolate jazzies and perfumed pears are there for inspiration. The palate delivers an exquisite mouth-feel – lots of exotic fruits, tease-and-tingle citrus peel, fruit gums and Haribos, with just a hint of tobacco and medicinal spice, like Victory V lozenges – all rather heavenly – very tasty and finely balanced; well worth taking time to linger over and savour. “
