The inaugural entry in Ardbeg’s rare-cask series emphasises the spirit’s spicier notes, being matured in Oloroso sherry casks, before being moved to virgin charred American oak. The profile provides a combination of black pepper to complement the trademark sooty notes, and a serving of chocolate fondant in the palate. Only 354 bottles will ever be produced of this fascinating dram and quite possibly the last bottle to bear Mickys Signature.
